Projects

  • Wyee Sewer Connection
    Communication and Engagement Services Mara is working with the Hunter Water team to manage communication and stakeholder engagement activities to upgrade the sewer infrastructure in southern Lake Maquarie. Part of the role is ensuring the contractor is effectively manage communications and notifications to impacted stakeholders through construction. Mara developed the communication strategy and overseeing its implementation.
  • Major projects group - Hunter Water Corporation
    Strategic Communication and Stakeholder Engagement The Mara team is supporting the delivery phase of 14 major projects on behalf of Hunter Water Corporation. Mara is responsible for developing stakeholder engagement and communication strategies and implementing a program of activities to keep stakeholders informed of construction of these infrastructure projects.
  • Plan of Management and Masterplan, Queens Wharf, Morpeth & The Esplanade, Lorn
    Stakeholder Engagement and Workshop Facilitation, Masterplanning and Plan of Management, Detailed design Mara was engaged to develop the plans of management and masterplans for these two highly visible recreation sites in Maitland. The challenge was to develop recreation facilities along the Hunter River in locations that were prone to flooding. Mara developed a strategy to engage with stakeholders and facilitated workshops. Later in the project, Mara presided over the public hearings for the categorisation of land.
  • Hunter River Estuary Waste Water Masterplan
    Communication and Engagement Services Mara is working with the Hunter H2O to deliver a portfolio of solutions that reduce discharge levels into the Hunter River. Growth in load to the current Waste Water Treatment plants is projected to be significant at 65% over the next 30 years. Mara is conducting consultation to understand what stakeholders value in the estuary as well as what solutions are acceptable or are they willing to pay more for.
  • Singleton Interconnection
    Communication and Engagement Services Mara is conducting stakeholder consultation to support the design of a pipeline connection between two water authorities.
  • Communication and Engagement Services Mara is supporting the water resilience team to consult and communication with stakeholders around the long term security of water in the region. The plan sets out how we will all ensure there is enough water to supply homes, business and industry in the region, as well as how we will respond to drought. Communication activities includes actions to supply, save and substitute water that are already in place or underway, as well as additional measures to respond to droughts when they occur.
